- Prepare Prepare Paneer
- Provide 250 grams paneer chopped in cubicles
- Take 4-5 tablespoons plain flour
- You need 4-5 tablespoons corn flour
- Get Salt as per taste
- Prepare Pepper as per taste
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon Soya sauce
- Take 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli sauce
- You need 1/2 teaspoon Vinegar
- Use Few tablespoons of Water
- Prepare Sessame Oil for frying and sauteing
- You need 1 teaspoon Chilli paste
- Provide 2-3 teaspoon Garlic paste
- Provide 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
- Get 3 tablespoons onions chopped
- Use 3 tablespoons capsicum cubed
- Use 2 tablespoons cabbage shreds
- Take 1/2 cube maggi veg nugget
- Get 2 tablespoon brown onion paste
- Prepare 2 teaspoon Soya sauce
- You need Chilli sauce as per taste
- Provide 2 teaspoon Tomato ketchup
- Take Salt as per taste
- You need 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- Provide 2 teaspoon plain flour
- Prepare Few spoons of Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions to make Paneer Chilli:
- Chop all veggies and paneer and keep ready.
- Crush 1/2 nugget of maggi masala and mix in some water and keep it ready too. Fry one sliced onion and blend it into a paste by adding some water.
- Mix all the ingredients mentioned in the first section except paneer. Add water only as required. Make a thick batter.
- Coat paneer pieces well into the batter and deep fry into the medium hot oil. I have also prepared some mushroom chilli with same batter.
- You may also add red food colour to make them look like street style paneer chilli. I like to avoid colour though.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add chilli, garlic, ginger paste and onion.
- Add capsicum, cabbage and saute well
- Add soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, brown onion paste, maggi masala, salt and pepper and mix.
- Prepare a slurry by mixing plain flour in few teaspoons of water and add to the above mixture. Cook for few minutes.
- Add the fried paneer to the liquid mixture and mix well to coat. Switch off flame. Cover pan with lid for few minutes.
- Sprinkle some green onions on top and mix. Use some for garnishing.
- Use very good quality paneer for soft Paneer chilli. Other they tend to become rubbery and chewy.
